The weather has been crazy–cold, snow, icy roads. Charlotte could get here yesterday so we called Home Instead and they could only get Kay here from noon to 6. Evan and I went shopping and to dinner. According to Kay, Arden did not want to watch football or watch TV. He was quiet and gloomy all day. He perked up when we got home and when Evan read to him. They also watched football and ESPN.
Today is Monday. Alivia is suppose to be here from 2 until 6. I took my car in yesterday to have the oil leak fixed. When I hadn’t heard from them, I called only to find out that they hadn’t even looked at it so I could go any place. Alivia arrived, gave Arden his Ensure, changed him and bathed him. She called me in to look at his feet and legs–they were quite swollen and discolored. He has also been complaining about an area on his right side that hurts and is sensitive to the touch. I called the doctor, but he is on vacation this week. The doctor on-call put in a request for Tuality Home Health to come out and check Arden out. They will come tomorrow–weather permitting.
We had dinner and watched the LSU-Ohio State game..My team won! Arden says that it wasn’t really the National Championship and that USC is the National Champion!
He was fussing about his money and I told him that I have it. I also told him that Cheryl is no longer involved with his finances–she took her $10,000 and doesn’t want to deal with his finances or his care. She is done. He took it very well and even said that she didn’t do much anyway.
